I created this image back in the days before digital. It was actually engineered as a double exposure on one negative. Printed as a Black & White and then hand colored,scanned into the computer and here it is. Hope you enjoy this one!

This shot was produced at 8 PM when all of the stages had just fired up. the people were in the street and the party was on. I knew that it would make a great shot. This Panoramic of Lafayette 2009 was originally created as a photo that measured over 40" long and can still be ordered by request.

I was in New Orleans as part of an Art Exibit. We decided to wander around the French Quarter to see what we could find. When I got to the Riverwalk along the river I could see the shot in my head so we headed down the Riverwalk to the old warehouses and set up there. As I finished setting up a couple sat down by the river and a train headed through the Quarter, being in the right place at the right time is always a gift. The details don't show up very well in these proofs but the details are all sharp and is what finished the shot.

This photo was in the traveling exhibit "Sustained Winds". A couple of the first lines of my artist statement ask, can you feel the wind, can you smell the rain? I tried to bring into the scene and get you to experience some of what I felt.

Coming home from an industrial shoot and was driving when I almost passed this up. Slammed on the brakes, grabbed the gear and starting shooting. Shot medium format B/W and 35mm Kodachrome till the sun disappeared. This is such a gift of right time, right place but I had enough sense to stop and not pass it by. We all see these shots happen in front of us all the time but are you ready to capture that when opportunity hands it to me.

This is one of my favorite sunset shots that I have, so many elements all came together to make this happen. The sliver moon is a great detail and the reflections in the water also add a great element. The colors in the sky were brought on by grinding season for cane and were burning the fields. It all came together to create a wonderful image.

I was on my way to shoot a large christmas display and as we drove down I-49N this scene popped up. I love night photography, this was shot on medium format film. I loved the way the light was working with the foreground versus the dark background.

Germania Greets the Morning
We found this old plantation on our way back from New Orleans. after some inquiry we made contact with the family. The barn was built by German carpenters and is quite detailed. Notice the curved tops on the doorways and the trim around the roof. The images were shot in B/W and Kodachrome. 8 of the B/W images and 8 hand colored photographs were added to the Experience Kodak exhibit in New York and traveled to their corporate offices for a while.
